Reflections on Training 2013!


Training 2013 is coming to an end. What is ONE thing that you consider an “ah-ha” moment: something that surprised you, provoked you, filled in a missing gap, or otherwise sparked new or renewed thinking?

  9. Bob Pike's session on memory and learning was very interesting. Ray Kurzeil's keynote was mind-blowing. I was pleasantly surprised by Matt Harding's keynote.

  10. The idea that participants should be engaged in some type of activity about every 10 minutes! I never considered having activities spaced in this way.

  11. Training 2013 was a great experience. It is my first year here and I'm looking forward to, hopefully, coming back to attend the future events. I've met some great people throughout my time here and I've learned MANY concepts and ideas that will certainly change the way I deliver training.

    When attending the "Never Give A Boring Technical Presentation Again" workshop, one thing I learned is that people lose focus about every 7-10 minutes. To keep them engaged, you must constantly manage their state.

  22. How do I earn an incentive card like you have in your hot little hand?

    What is the most secure of the blogs?

    How do we keep track of all these passwords and do so securely?

    How do I delay text messages so that it can post on schedule?

    How do I list books on LinkedIn? I used to know then they updated it and they lost me!

    How do I store docs on my iPhone so I can attach them like I do images, vCards, etc.
